2 Sunrise Hospital Medical Center 3186 Maryland Parkway Las Vegas, NV 89109

Various features of late onset group B beta-hemolytic streptococcal disease reported previously include asymptomatic bacteremia, otitis media, septic arthritis, osteomyelitis, ethmoditis, cellulitis, pleural empyema, conjunctivitis, breast abscess, and impetigo.1.2 The following case report demonstrates that jaundice can be another manifestation of late onset group B beta-hemolytic streptococcal disease.

The patient, weighing 3.3 kg, was the product of a full-term, uncomplicated pregnancy and was in good health until 5frac12 weeks of age, when she developed fever and jaundice.
