We have read with interest the article by Orlowski et al. (Pediatrics 61:83, January 1978) in which they describe six patients between the ages of 13 and 20 years who have Wegener's granulomatosis (WG). The authors recommend initial treatment using nitrogen mustard and adrenocorticotropic hormone (ACTH) for induction of remission, followed by oral cyclophosphamide and prednisone as maintenance drugs.

We have recently reported our experience in treating two children with the generalized form of WG.
