In the article "Child Care in the People's Republic of China–1973: Part II." by Joe D. Wray.1 I am very curious as to the repeated references to "China in preliberation days," "preliberation China." "Fighting, scuffling, rough-housing, or disputes seemed to occur rarely." "There is no doubt however, that the message they receive from society is that the competence they develop is to be used to ‘serve the people,’ and not for personal benefit or gain."
