Pulmonary Valvular Dysfunction in Children With Ventriculovenous Shunts for Hydrocephalus: A Previously Reported Complication

In the article by Hougen et a!.,1 pulmonary insufficiency was described as a previously unreported complication. It was, in fact. reported by us in Chest (59:344, 1971). Of further hemodynamic interest in our case was the finding of tricuspid stenosis resulting from the catheter.
