What Is the Current Incidence of RLF?

It occurs to us that your readers would be interested in some information which we have concerning the occurrence of retrolental fibroplasia (RLF) in recent years.

Preschool blind children in northern California are served by the Variety Club Blind Babies Foundation. The State of California Educational Services for Preschool Blind serves southern California. Our combined programs are currently serving 63 children with RLF in the state of California. These children are distributed by birth date as follows: 4 in 1970, 8 in 1971, 12 in 1972, 12 in 1973, 17 in 1974, and 10 in 1975.
