Dr. Gorlick's letter emphasizes a very important and current concern which covers all immunization programs, not merely those for measles vaccine. In the broad aspect, the Committee on Infectious Diseases is working with the Center for Disease Control to try to compose succinct but adequate statements which could be given to parents of children who are to be immunized. These would cover individually DTP, polio, measles, rubella, mumps, and any other vaccines to be used.
