We read with interest the article by Idriss et al.1 regarding nocardiosis in children. As the authors point out, patients with chronic granulomatous disease of childhood (CGD) appear unusually susceptible to Nocardia infection. We recently made the diagnosis of Nocardia lymphadenitis and pneumonia in a boy with CGD who has been reported previously for other reasons.2 This child, who presented with a one-week history of fever and night sweats, was noted on physical examination to have marked unilateral axillary lymphadenopathy as well as signs of pulmonary consolidation.
