In Reply: Commentson Breast-Feeding and Immunity

I am grateful to Mr. Du Busc for his letter and will do my best to answer the questions which he has raised. I am also glad that he has reviewed the material referred to in my review and thank him for challenging some of my statements.

As far as I can gather from their paper, Grulee et al.1 did not carry out their study to prove a point; they simply wanted to find out if there were differences in the morbidity and mortality rates in breast-fed, breast- and bottle-fed, and bottle-fed babies.
