A 2-week-old male infant was diagnosed as having persistent Mullerian structures. Microscopically normal testes were found, as well as a uterus, cervix, and fallopian tubes. Plasma testosterone values responded normally to human chorionic gonadotrophin stimulation. This condition at times is familial, and genetic counseling is indicated.
