In column two, page 600, Kopel and Barbero were inadvertently misquoted. The sentence should read: "Kopel and Barbero19 have studied gastric secretion in infancy and childhood, and have shown a normal mean basal acid of 0.45 mEq/kg/hr for children 6 to 12 years of age. Our patient had a basal output of 41 mEq/hr or 17 mEq/10 kg/hr (38 times normal)."
