MAN AND NATURE

John Powles

Man's domination of nature has been the central impetus of modern industrial culture. Further pursuit of this within the already industrialized countries is likely to be self defeating and could well be disastrous. The thinking of modern man should rather be directed toward identifying his best available options in a universe indifferent to his welfare but sensitive to his insults.
