Elevated Renin Levels in Normotensive Adolescents

When plasma renin determinations were performed on a large group of adolescents (ages 12 to 15 years) and adults (ages 17 to 60 years), significantly higher levels (p < 0.05) of plasma renin were found in the adolescents (0.72 ng/ml/hr) than in the adults (0.49 ng/ml/hr).
