Vernon Knight, in conjunction with seven well-known investigators in the area, has turned out an excellent book on nonbacterial respiratory disease. They feel that an understanding of the virologic background of respiratory disease is essential for well-trained clinicians and have aimed their book at providing this background. The book's most impressive feature is that the authors do not state their own views as fact; rather, they present available information (properly referenced) and then interpret it.
