Reduction of Plasma Propionate by Peritoneal Dialysis

In a child with propionic acidemia, biochemical relapse associated with septicemia was successfully treated with peritoneal dialysis. It is suggested that this line of management is suitable for the management of biochemical crises in propionic acidemia.
