Acute Dextropropoxyphene Hydrochloride (Darvon) Poisoning

This case illustrates the devastating effects of Darvon overdose on cardiorespiratory physiology and cerebral function. The case report and discussion emphasize the relative futility of treatment and the nature of the pathophysiologic disturbances.
