I am always delighted to see an article published lished: (1) emphasizing the importance and difficulty of diagnosing a developmental anomaly of the urinary tract; (2) emphasizing the incidence of 3.5 to 5% of all children having an anomaly of tile urinary tract; ard, (3) emphasizillg that these anomalies are demonstrated, by the ordinary physical examination, but only if oiıe has developed a meaningful list of indications for urological evaluation.
I would like to take exception to several remarks in the report regarding the abdominal palpation of the newborn.1
