Neonatal Seizure States: Electroencephalography and Diazepam

In reading the Letters to the Editor of Pediatrics in issues subsequent to the March 1970 issue, I have been particularly interested in looking for comments of the paper "Neonatal Seizures State" by Rose and Lombroso.1 I found the paper to be very thorough; however, I question whether EEG's are done routinely in newborn infants with seizures states in significant numbers of medical centers. Do you have knowledge of the EEG being a practical or feasible procedure in the newborn?
