I read with a great deal of interest the Committee on Drugs Report entitled, "Should Steroids be used in Treating Bronchiolitis?" I am in complete agreement with the report, namely, that steroids have no place in the treatment of bronchiolitis. The committee rightly points out the unique contribution a collaborative controlled study can make in problems of this type.
I have been particularly interested in the use of corticosteroids in the treatment of croup and have previously published two double blind studies on the subject.2,3
