A case of intraspinal neurilemoma associated with typical Rubinstein-Taybi syndrome is presented. Although many patients with this syndrome have pyramidal tract signs, this is the first reported case of associated intraspinal tumour.

Possibly more patients with this syndrome will present with central nervous system tumours of the type associated with Von Recklinghausen's disease. Indeed the Rubinstein-Taybi syndrome possibly should be grouped with Von Recklinghausen's disease as one of the phakomatoses.
