Dr. Ng is probably correct that there is insufficient evidence of reported cases of contact dermatitis or other untoward effects associated with the preparation of these chemotherapeutic agents. However, nitrogen mustard is wellknown to cause a vesicant effect. Although I am unaware of other clinical reports of contact dermatitis associated with these drugs, I would not be surprised to learn that it did occur. With regard to systemic toxicity, this would be expected to be extremely small.
