Letter To The Editor

Jane Schaller M.D.1

1 University of Washington, School of Medicine, Seattle, Washington 98105

Dr. Schaller commented as follows:

Concerning our grievous misspelling of the word "pruritus," I can only reply that we erred and hereby promise to do better forever after. Aside from the two letters received by the editor, this matter was solely brought to our attention by Dr. Rustin McIntosh of Tyringham, Massachusetts. May spelling buttons be awarded forthwith to these astute orthographers!1

We are well aware that Drs. Calabro's and Marchesano's article on rash was published in 1968, not 1958 (it was originally correctly cited) and that they mentioned in passing that "eruptions were nonpruritic except in one child."
