I am sure that like myself everyone is bothered by how much he actually retains of the material he reads or scans, and also by his ability to retrieve references. Some journals, for example the New England Journal of Medicine, have abstracts of the articles available on printed cards which can be reviewed and filed. I have found this useful and believe it would be worthwhile for Pediatrics to consider doing this. However, as an alternative and one that has the advantage of being almost immediately available, I would like to let others know of a procedure that I have found helpful.
