Letter to the Editor

Gerald E. Hughes M.D.1

1 Secretary for Educational Affairs American Academy of Pediatrics

Thank you for the opportunity to reply to the letters from Drs. Silverman, Halpern, and Hervada. Questions about the selection of sites for the Academy's meetings arise periodically, and the reasons for the selections should be reviewed periodically in response to these questions.

As an initial consideration, the Executive Board of the Academy, after questionnaires to the members and discussions with District Committees and Chapter Chairmen, has decided that it is preferable that the Annual Meetings be held in hotels and under one roof.
