Further Doubts about the Value of the EEG in Minimal Cerebral Dysfunction

I would like to rise in denfese of an author of a letter appearing in the letters section of the November issue of Pediatrics. Dr. Peggy J. Copple1 therein criticized the article by Drs. Capute, Neidermeyer, and Richardson on the EEG in minimal cerebral dysfunction.2 Her conclusions were that the parent of a child so afflicated would be well advised to spend the price of an EEG on something of more tangible value, such as a new hat.
