Dr. Baker in his letter to the editor derives a number of corollaries which are strictly his own and based more on bias than on either the article in question or the relevant literature to which the article refers. Possibly his corollaries suffer from the same problem we encountered namely, the necessity of being concise and avoiding a great deal of qualifying verbiage. Our manuscript as originally submitted qualified many of the statements he criticizes but was considered too long and had to be cut.
