Reactions to Booster Doses of Tetanus Vaccines, Continued

Dr. Ricardo Perez-Martin's inquiry regarding tetanus toxoid booster (Pediatrics, 42:711, 1968) is a timely one. The use of 0.1 ml of tetanus fluid toxoid (not alum precipitated) intradermally, instead of 0.5 ml intramuscularly, will give more than adequate booster response, with no or little local and systemic reactions. In addition, the allergic phenomena may be minimized.
