Further Suggestion on Transfer of Medical Information

William T. Auld M.D.1

Perhaps my "gripe" is universal enough that you will give it some publicity. When a new family comes to town with a child who has a medical problem and I send a request for information to the doctor who has been taking care of him, I find it very annoying to receive photo copies of all his office records with handwriting I cannot read, abbreviations known only to that doctor, and pages of routine information which have no great bearing on the case.
