Letters to the Editor

William B. Carey M.D.1 and Maarten S. Sibinga M.D.2

1 Children's Hospital of Philadelphia
2 St. Christopher's Hospital for Children, Philadelphia

Drs. Carey and Sibinga comment on these two letters as follows.

Are there any other opinions from correspondents?

We are grateful to Dr. Work for his supportive comments on the issue of whether pediatricians should provide medical care for their friends' children.

The mention of the trends in family therapy is not exactly pertinent to our central thesis. The relationship described is still basically professional, although the therapist can become quite involved with the family.
