Dr. Edward Mortimer sent me a copy of his reply to your question on the intradermal administration of influenza vaccine. I believe that he has very succinctly summarized the current attitudes on this procedure.

I would like to re-emphasize Dr. Mortimer's comment that to be satisfied with the technique, one would need the assurance of actual protection following intradermal influenza immunization, as well as antibody booster effect. Antibody response to influenza antigens is tremendously influenced by one's past experience with similar and related influenza viruses.
