You are probably aware that the Public Health Service Advisory Committee On Immunization Practices has recommended that influenza vaccine be given intradermally under only one circumstance, as a booster dose to older individuals who have previously experienced undue reactions to influenza vaccine.
You are correct in saying that there is not a satisfactory study of intradermal influenza vaccination in childhood. This is in part because such a study is extremely difficult to set up.
