Hair Dryer for Hip Spica

Through a recent family problem, a technique for caring for an infant with a hip spica cast has come to my attention. My little girl, who had a congenital dislocation of her left hip, had been in a hip spica for 4 months. A problem which had perplexed us for quite some time was moisture gathering on the inside of the cast and irritating the skin areas covered by the cast. It is very difficult to keep these areas dry.
