Still More on Poisoning

Merton E. Cohen M.D.1

1 2025 Fairview Avenue Easton, Pennsylvania 18942

Hurrah for Dr. Wolf!1 For many years I have complained about the completely unnecessary hazards in the use of "candy" flavored medications for children. The official statistics oil poisoning from this type of product cannot be refuted. And, with all due respect to Dr. Coleman, I do not agree that safer packaging is the answer. An intelligent preschool child can learn to open a "safety cap" almost as well as his mother, and, if the technique is made too complicated, the average mother will also have difficulty in opening the package.
