Letters to the Editor

In the April issue of Pediatrics (41:789, 1968) Drs. Garces, Drash, and Kenny report a case of islet cell adenoma and hypoglycemia in a newborn infant. They state, "only two well documented cases with onset of symptoms in the neonatal period have been reported in the literature." They apparently refer only to recent literature, since they cite no references prior to 1960. In fact, Dr. Harry Sherman1 reported a case of islet cell tumor in the newborn in 1947.
