Dangerous Psychotherapy

Our Committee's attention has been drawn to a recent article (Medicine at Work, July 1966) suggesting that there are beneficial results if people have a chance to blow off steam and get rid of tensions through the use of fireworks. This has been called "psychotherapy with a bang."

The promulgator of this illogical, irresponsible absurd, potentially maiming concept is Dr. William E. Schumacher, Director of Mental Health for the State of Maine.
