This well illustrated, 65 page handbook was written to give parents of children with cystic fibrosis an understanding of the present state of our knowledge of this disease. Although the text is written so the average parent would have no difficulty in understanding it, the author has thoughtfully added a five page glossary of medical terms commonly used in discussing cystic fibrosis.
The sections on mist tents and postural drainage are well done, as is the discussion of emotional difficulties.
