Letters to the Editor

ALEXANDER S. NADAS M.D.1

1 The Children's Hospital, 300 Longwood Avenue, Boston, Massachusetts 02115

It is a particular pleasure to have a former trainee comment on one's views. When reading Dr. Guntheroth's previous, and supporting, commentary in regard to the mumps-fibroelastosis controversy, I was beginning to worry lest middle age and creeping conformity are catching up with him. The present letter of disagreement, reassuringly, redresses the balance.

I do not wish to reopen the "numbers game." I would only like to draw Dr. Guntheroth's attention to a couple of facts he may have overlooked in the frenzy of his sabbatical year.
