Severe Rh-erythroblastosis fetalis was associated with hypoglycemia in two newborn infants; one died at age 26 hours. Possible etiologic factors include transient functional hyperinsulinism and rebound hypoglycemia following exchange transfusions of ACD-preserved blood.
