The excellence and success of Dr. Ford's book is amply demonstrated because it has undergone five editions in the 29 years of its existence. The fifth edition of this eloquent survey of the neurological disorders of the young person follows the familiar format of previous editions. The book retains the unity of style and coverage provided by single authorship, and illustrative case reports expand the general discussion of many of the topics. Dr. Ford's occasionally anecdotal writing style is best exemplified by his frequent reports of conversations with former Hopkins colleagues about interesting neurological observations.
