R. W. B. Ellis 1902-1966, Some American Memories

LOUIS K. DIAMOND M.D.1

1 Children's Hospital Medical Center, 300 Longwood Avenue, Boston, Massachusetts 02115

The Obituary Section of the September 24, 1966, issue of The Lancet carried a notice of the death of Dr. R. W. B. Ellis with eulogies from six associates and friends. It seems fitting that an additional one from this side of the ocean be added. I enclose a letter which Dr. Eley, Dr. Sherwood, and I have sent to the Editor of The Lancet. We hope this note plus our letter to Lancet can be published in Pediatrics to bring to the attention of pediatricians in this country the death of a leading teacher, writer, and practitioner in pediatrics, who once was associated with the Children's Hospital.
