Thank you for providing us an opportunity to read and comment upon the letter submitted by Drs. Fulginiti, Sieber, and John. That these readers of your journal have appreciated the discordance of the data reported in the two papers cited (by Shone, et al. and Gersony et al.) reaffirms my high opinion of the Editor of Pediatrics who chose deliberately to place these articles in juxtaposition to stimulate his subscribers to ponder upon the ambiguity of this inconstant observation in patients with endocardial fibroelastosis.
