Milk Induced Colitis in an Infant

An infant is reported who developed acute colitis on three occasions after the ingestion of milk. It is suggested that milk-induced colitis in this infant is a disease which is distinct from ulcerative colitis but one which must be added to the spectrum of causes operative in the development of colitis in infants and young children.
