Cardiac Evaluation in Normal Infants

Spurred by advances in cardiovascular surgery in the last decade, great strides have been made in the clinical understanding of children with congenital heart disease. One of the problems that continues to vex both pediatrician and cardiologist alike is the frequent difficulty in interpreting the cardiovascular examination in the infant under 1 year of age. In writing this book, it is Doctor Ziegler's purpose to "promote a better understanding of the normal cardiovascular system of infants and, through such understanding, provide some practical clinical guidelines toward its differential determination."
