Letters to the Editor

D. M. GREEN M.D.1

1 Vice-President, Research and Development, 8877 Ladue Road St. Louis, Missouri

This letter is in answer to yours relative to our product, Congespirin.

By law, recommendations as to the indications for use of a drug, its dosage, and the precautions to be observed, are the primary responsibility of the manufacturer. It is the function of the Food and Drug Administration to determine that the drug is safe and effective under these conditions.

The indications, dosage, and cautions for Congespirin were reviewed extensively with the Food and Drug Administration prior to marketing.
