Dr. Dodge commented as follows
:Thank you for the opportunity to comment upon the letter from Dr. McCrory. There appears to be no major disagreement between us n the treatment of infants with chronic renal osteodystrophy. Our reasoning in submitting his short report was not to recommend dietary estriction of phosphorus as the sole means of therapy, but, rather, to once again call attention to its inherent dangers if pursued too zealously.
Most investigators appear to be in agreement hat renal osteodystrophy may accompany chronic renal insufficiency.
