The urinary excretion of vitamin B6 and 4-pyridoxic acid was studied in normal children and adults and in children with the vitamin B6dependency syndrome. There were no differences in the relative proportions of free and hydrolyzable vitamin B6 and of 4-PDA excreted by normal and by vitamin B6-dependent subjects.
