Cystic Fibrosis and Family Functioning

CHRISTINE M. DERBES A.C.S.W.1

1 New Orleans Cystic Fibrosis Center, 1430 Tulane Avenue, New Orleans 12, Louisiana

In the July issue, Juanita Turk's article "Impact of Cystic Fibrosis on Family Functioning" (Pediatrics, 34:67, 1964) provided an interesting example of how the distress experienced by families varies with the resources available for coping with the stress.
