Chemistry and Therapy of Disorders of Voluntary Muscles

RANDOLPH K. BYERS M.D.

This little book is an excellent review of current literature relative to the physiology and diseases of muscles as opposed to neural structures. It contains very well-condensed accounts of each of the well-described diseases of muscle with a sufficient consideration of what is known of their physiologies to be a guide to treatment.

For persons interested in the study of muscle physiology and diseases a full bibliography follows each chapter and forms a very valuable contribution.

The first chapter on the physiology of muscle is by R. G. Williams and the description of the diseases and their treatments by Dr. Murphy.
