Twenty-seven qualified authors have contributed to make this 300-page volume a valuable aid to the examination of infants and children and therefore important to the treatment of pediatric disease. Some contributions present an entirely new approach. After reading Dr. David O'Harrington's excellent chapter, every ophthalmologist will have a new stimulus to uncover a previously uncovered area of perimetry. Dr. Harry E. Thorpe, as always, has something new for biomicroscopy in children. Some authors, perhaps because of limited space, have been too brief. Dr. Marshall M. Parks's section on Ocular Motility, on the other hand, is particularly comprehensive.
