Pocket Reference—Guide to Microbiology

JOHN A. MACLAREN Ph.D.

The author is to be commended for gathering together so many pertinent facts about medical microbiology. Many clinicians and laboratorians will find it profitable to consult this handy reference on innumerable occasions. Those individuals with either a responsibility or a deep concern for diagnostic microbiology will find this book of particular interest since it presents its message in a series of well-designed "flow sheets," one for each area of disease. This arrangement is most convenient for reviewing quickly the essentials of the subject. Since it fulfils its purpose as a pocket reference it can be recommended as a useful aid in the diagnosis of microbial disease.
