Subject Matter of Pediatrics

JOSEPH L. ROSENZWEIG M.D.

For some time I have felt that Pediatrics has been failing in its responsibilities to those of us who are in the daily practice of general pediatrics. Subject matter continues to be aimed more and more at the research-oriented, and is of decreasing value to the practicing pediatrician.

I realize the necessity for continued research that it has to be published, and that every moment I practice I am utilizing and benefiting from the results of previous investigators. I am aware, too, of the economic factors that necessitate some articles.
